Are BBC Programmes copyrighted?
Although sometimes we wont be able to give you permission because we dont always own the copyright. Our content often includes other peoples content. Or we might only have a licence to broadcast a show, and its the production company who owns it. There is some content we can give you permission to use, though.

Why is BBC Store closing?
The BBC will close its digital download service BBC Store after just 18 months, as the Corporation accepted that it had failed to compete with streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime. Programmes that users have purchased will no longer be available, although the BBC will fully refund customers.

BBC iPlayer is an internet streaming catchup TV and radio service and it is available only in the UK. The service is also knowns as iPlayer or BBC Media Player. BBC iPlayer lets you watch BBC programmes from the last 7 days. You can either stream the programs or download and save them for 30 days.
Is the capture available on DVD?
It isnt yet available to pre-order on Blu-ray or DVD. If you missed it, you can watch the each episode on the BBC iPlayer for 30 days after transmission.
Can the BBC track your IP address?
We collect some information automatically. Things like your IP address, which browser and device youre using, or your device ID. And we can tell what webpage directed you to the BBC by looking at information from your browser.
How can I watch BBC without a license?
A rule that came into force in September 2016 means you need a licence to legally use BBC iPlayer, even if youre only watching catch-up TV. But that doesnt apply to other catch-up services, so ITV Hub, All 4 and My5 are legal to use without a licence as long as youre not using them to watch live TV on any device.

Can BBC tell if I watch TV?
No, the BBC cant drive up your street and sense that youre using iPlayer. And it probably never could tell if you were watching TV. Youd better pay your TV licence fee. From September, a licence will be required to watch any TV content on iPlayer.

Has BBC News changed its font?
Rather than a redesign, the new logo appears to be a re-rendering of the logo in the BBCs new in-house font, Reith (named after BBC founder John Reith). And as many have pointed out Twitter, using its own font means the BBC no longer needs to pay licensing costs for Gill Sans, the typeface used in the original logo.
